I got the Acer TravelMate 6492 with built in 3G. But the program it use to connect is "GlodeTrotter" and there is no fuction to receive sms's or see usages. I installed "NetMeter" to see usages.

I installed "Vadafone Mobile Connect" but it doesn't pick up the built in 3G modem.

I have to take my simcard out of the laptop and insert it in to a cellphone and check the sms's.

Is there any solution to receive my sms's on my Laptop?

VMC should be able to detect the 3G Card. You need to manually add the device under Manage Devices ->> Add New Device.

Hi,

Dit you have VMC version 9.1 cd , i have and i pick up sms on my laptop.

Yes I have installed version 9.1.

I have done that but it gives me the option to pick a device, the choices are Mobile Phone or Vodafone Mobile Connect Card.

It doesn't pick up anything on both choices.

You're probably using an old version of Vodafone Mobile Connect.

I doubt those version have the drivers for the built-in device. You need to go to Vodacom's Website and Download version 9.3 of VMC.

Then you need to remove the old version, install version 9.3, and try again.

Thank you, I downloaded version 9.3 and it works now.
