Recomend 2.1 Speakers

You see, Creative are reputable and have great quality. A mate of mine uses the A520's in his lounge as a perfect replacement for a home theater system. And it pumps!

I use a set of P380's... 8 years old, awesome sound quality & still going strong. I'd recommend Creative over any brand

Looks like the Harmon Kardon Soundsticks II or III are touted as the best. I've checked everywhere for reviews and everyone says the same. Problem is that it doesn't have a remote for the volume etc. Maybe I should just buy a proper damn sound system like Onkyo or something.

They're ugly as hell and really don't sound that great. I suppose the sound is excellent for their size,
though Bose Companion 2.1's are a better bet in that price range.

Btw, Totempole, have you listened to other speakers as well? How are the more expensive Microlab 2.1's in terms of their performance? The Bose sets are overpriced.
