Recomend a gaming keyboard

Recommend me a gaming keyboard for under R1000 please. :)

No specific requirements, looking for something flashy though.

Also if anyone could get this for R1000 then I'll take it: http://www.rebeltech.co.za/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=4&products_id=9095

Those cyborg keyboards are crap. I'm typing on one right now. Its about a year old, the usb doesn't work, the backlight has died and touch buttons don't work anymore.

Rather get a logitech keyboard in the G range.

Edit:
I am getting the Cyborg V7, Nick at NGRComputers was able to organize me one for R1000.

:(

Lol ok ok if I had to go mechanical I guess the favorite is the Cooler Master Trigger correct? Which switch would you recommend for a gamer, he plays FPS games and MMO's mostly. I know that the black switch is for FPS games, should I look at the Blue switch?

Blue or red. Blue is overall best but needs a private area. Blue is fairly light with bump/click (noisy) at actuation point. Black is a bit too resistive. Red is like black, no bump or click, and lighter than black and blue.

Do not buy anything from Razer, their driver software forces you to create an account on their servers before you can use the keyboard fully.

This requires internet btw.

I have a Razor keyboard in a box somewhere. Unusable since the media touch area opens millions of window media player windows. I never had to register with them. I generally dont sign up for things like that so think I would have remembered if I had to do it for that keyboard. Are you sure?

No dude, are you 100% certain the keyboard will only work with internet? you sign in because your settings are then stored in the cloud but i find it hard to believe you cannot operate the keyboard or change settings without internet.

Synapse 2.0 needs the internet to keep your settings synced and when you boot into Windows it checks for a net connection. If there is no connection, it may either throw out an error and disable the UI, or it could keep calm and carry on - it seems to be an either/or situation for a lot of people. Setting it up without internet access is impossible.

I never had the same issues other people are reporting, but I didn't have my review items for long enough to see them pop up.

It isn't just windows, i can go login to another computer with the same hardware and my settings will be the same, that is the actual purpose of the internet side of the software surely? back up, so i can use multiple systems, when i reload i don't need to redo my settings and so on.

You need to be connected when setting up the software, other than that it works perfectly fine offline. The old Synapse was better because profiles were stored on the device and didn't need Razer drivers to work, but the downside is that it couldn't link different devices like pressing a keyboard key to activate a mode on a mouse, and many newer devices lacked the memory and thus the on-device profiles. Now that Synapse 2.0 supports products older than 10 minutes, like my Nostromo, I actually prefer it.
