Recommend a quality mouse

I must get this switch cleaner, I've been using 99% alcohol to clean stuff.
I use the Spanjaard stuff, around R80 a tin at Midas, it lasts for many many years. Also good for cleaning potentiometers/rotary encoders.
CRC also make a version.

Where'd you get your replacement parts from? I'm actually looking for replacement pads & switches for a Logitech G900 & possibly a replacement battery pack
As far as the switches go, I have repaired two of the Logitech mice now using cheap generic switches from an electronics shop. Just make sure the replacements are the same size as the originals (including the height).

This strategy has worked well. The Omron switches that Logitech use (even in their expensive mice) are also cheap junk, so you are not taking a step down in quality.

I got this mouse after 2x G502 replacements mouse with button issues and warranty claims ect..
new mouse just slip of a cover and replace the switch from RS components , can even change to better for faster click switches. over a year usage and no issues , original switches are still perfect.
  • Detachable magnetic covers, exclusive push-fit switch-socket design

Both my Logitech Mx Anywhere mouse's developed microswitch issues but once I opened them up and doused them in switch cleaner they have been fine since then, well it's been a good 5yrs and still going strong.

You can even buy replacement switches for not much money and they are easy to swop out, just need a basic soldiering iron.

My last Razer did the same thing with the scroll wheel, it's just fluff in the wheel confusing the pickup, easy to clean and fix.

I highly recommend the MX anywhere mouse's, 3 programmable buttons, awesome scroll wheel and they fit my hand perfectly, no carpal issues.
Thanks, I'll find the thing and blow it out and see if it helps.

It is still working great today!
I did try and replace the switches on my G700. It never worked the same after, but there is nothing to be lost from giving it another go. Where did you get the switches. I remember struggling to find compatible switches for the G700 because they discontinued the ones in the mouse. I'll start with trying to clean them tho, hopefully that sorts it out.

I love logitech but I'm going to lose my sht if I buy another one and it does the same thing. I'll buy a cheap mouse until I have tried to fix this one.

For the G602 I posted the link at this post in this thread.

For G700... here is a good guide to read first: https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Logite...700+Left-Right+Click+Button+Replacement/95701

The doc has a link to ebay.
Just search for OMRON D2FC-F-7N and you should be able to find what you need.

Also search for the G700 skates/feet as you will need to have backups to replace those.

Yea I followed that same guide when I did my G700. The switches that where suggested where not available anywhere, I took some that where physically identical (but also Omron) from RS. But like I said, the mouse was never the same. I must have screwed something else up desoldering the daughter board because that was a bitch to do.
The G502 does not have the same construction so hopefully this time will be easier.

Best of luck. The buttons on my G602 honestly felt different, but 10 times better than prior the change. I really liked the difference. Then again, I had different switches.

Logitech MX Master.. I've got the 2, they're on v3 now.

Expensive, but I have large hands and researched, this is the best, most comfortable mouse I've ever owned.

I have always held the Omron brand in high regard - I still have an Omron vintage calculator from the 1970's

Havic
Genius
HP-Berkshire-Hathaway
Logitech (B100 for R49 and G305 for R649)

how about this pretty pink one - only for the most hardcore first person shooter ?

I have an unused G502 but the material covering on a part of the cable frayed.

Anyone interested?

Agreed, I have the 1 and the 3.
Flawless so far, and I use them for at least 8 hours every work day.
