I'm looking for a decent lazer printer, purely just for black and white printing, it has to be something that can print exactly what I see on the monitor on to paper, meaning all the different shades and no loss of details. Must have a scanner and photo copier, and also something where the cartridges are way expensive, I find most printers sell for cheap and then have these crazy expensive cartridges, I have a budget of about 2k cheaper would obviously be better.

and not something that has like 6 cartridges where the one runs out and you cant even print in black just because the one is empty.

Results depend on the software. If getting printing problems, print as a graphics, it will let GDI render image. Better shade levels are achieved in Postcript printers. If you are dealing with printing house they will recomend printer for proofing.
