Recommendations for an ex Red Alert fan?

I suggest checking out earth 2150 (2150 i think is the right one) not the oldest 2140 which I havnt played. and not the newest 2160 which is kinda ott. 2150 is a nice military kinda themed rts with some newage tech.

yep have played SupCom 2...

it did have its appeals, but didn't like a few factors here and there.

one being the whole idea of Experimentals was completely lost and it was now just like spamming a normal unit.

but lol at some of the ideas of the Experis :D

in some areas it was just too simplified but guess it due to console compatibility :(

It's not related to the CnC universe, hell the gameplay is not even remotely similar, but Generals with Zero Hour expansion are one of the best multiplayer RTS ever. There's so many great mods too such as the Shockwave mod.
 
The Total War games are tons of fun. I must have plunged about 3 years of my life into them :P (ok I exagerate). But the only other game I can reccomend is ruse...its actually suprisingly fun to play.
 
Get a PS3, buy Gran Turismo 5, and have fun :p

No, seriously... I have always been a big Blizzard fan. And I totally agree with your post about Red Alert 3 and on being total nonsense. I played ONE map and have not touched it since. Absolute rubbish.
C&C Generals _ Zero Hour was fun, I also enjoyed that but it also never quite had that special something Red Alert 1 (Tesla Coil) and Red Alert 2 had (If I remember correctly Tanya was actually helpful)
Starcraft 2 was, 'ok'

Guess we wait for Diablo 3.... dom dom DOMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
