I'm asking this on behalf of an elderly lady who has just been given a laptop.
She basically just wants to use it to email and to talk and see her grandchildren in the UK, using Skype video.
She is retired, so wants the most cost-effective solution that will allow her to do this.
She has a Telkom phone line already, but no ADSL line and no modem.
The CellC speedstick offer is cost effective, but I'm not sure how reliable it is for Skype video calls.
Any advice?
Thanks

just for email and the odd skype session over weekends cellc's 2gB per month would maybe be better. looking at the plug 'n play/user frienlyness of it. ADSL is more for the bandwidth hungry (40 gigabyte and up) folk. just make sure there's decent coverage in her area, no use trying to skype over a GPRS connection

OK, thanks. I figured CellC, just wasn't sure about it's reliability with Skype Video calls. I'll go over to the CellC forum and see if anyone there has experience with this. Thanks.
