Recommended ADSL ISP

I have been with Telkom since ADSL was only 512k and for my sins I still am, only now with LTE. So I have no experience with any other ISP.

A friend needs internet at home and I am handing over my D-Link DSL-2750U, which ISP currently offers the best value for money for ADSL?

They don't need gobs of data, 20-50GB a month is enough for now.
