Hi guys
Can anyone recommend a reliable data recovery tool please?
I need to get my contacts from phone memory and my screen is broken

Is MiniTool Mobile Recovery for Android ok to use?

Can you still see whats happening on the screen? If so an otg cable might help. just plug in a mouse and voila....

What phone is it? Some phones have software for transferring. Do you have the talk feature set up on your phone?
I broke my screen shortly after flying to Pietermartizburg. Had to get to a client and could not see Google maps. Used the voice feature to get into the program and navigate. Perhaps you can do something similar

Cannot promise that this is legit but did a search and came up with this

Have you tried plugging it into your PC? You may find you have access that way

Aren't they backed up to Google Cloud?

Not all - and only if you tell it to.
If you set gmail as your default contacts location and turn on automatic sync, you can forget about manually telling it to save to the cloud. It constantly syncs your contacts and changes you make to them to the cloud

It's a company phone. Not sure how it's set up and I can't check either because I can't see. Screen is dead.
I would like to phone the main dude from IT but his number is stored on phone. Sent an email to him but no response yet.
Thanks guys I hear what you say about backups etc.

Did you connect it to your PC? The software that downloads will often let you access your contacts

Taking a stab in the dark here, but isn't the contacts also sometimes stored on the sim-card? Remove the card and put it in another phone, you have nothing to lose by trying.
