Recover Gmail Password from Blackberry

A friend of mine created a gmail account years ago. He signed in with his blackberry and promptly forgot the password.
His phone is still connected to gmail so he can send and receive mails. But he cant sign in via a PC, because he forgot his password

I don't think he set up a recovery email or phone number
The recovery options says he has to not sign in for 5 days so that he can answer his security question, but he is afraid to do this in case he gets it wrong and is stuck without access.

Is there any way to get the password from his blackberry?

A friend has the same issue (with an android device though). I tried to help him with the recovery process but no luck (answered the questions correctly, I think, and got a confirmation code sent to another email address). He is still using the phone and the google login is automatic.

Anyway of getting the pwd off the phone?

No. The authentication is directly with the servers so to you won't be able to access it regardless of phone.

Just contact Google.

They are quite helpful with this kind of thing and there are normally other ways to authenticate you are the user by stating what emails are in the box at present etc.
