Wow, so the one night we decide to run an update on my fiancee's Xperia Z(1), eskom has a major burp, and power goes out for a few seconds during the update.
Needless to say, Xperia is in a bootloop. All the recovery methods won't work, power + vol-, power + vol+.
It boots, shows the logo, tells me the update failed, and reboots.
I can turn it off doing the power + vol+ for 10 seconds maneuver, but then what?
It seems like there are ways to recover, and reflash, even the repair option in Companion will probably work, BUT... data
There is a bunch of photos on there, that she wants, emotional value, history, things that will truly be a loss.
My common sense tells me, the data is fine, it's there, and the only problem here is a bootloader/the OS. Correct?
Is there anyway to get around this crap, without destroying data on the rom, just enough to get in there and retrieve data. On my linux, i'd use a live cd, but what the heck do I do on droid on the sony?
Anyway advice would be fantastic
Marlon
