Recovery - Deleted Documents

Hi,

Any recommendations for data recovery software? Need to recover deleted photo's and files from a windows laptop. Don't want to just download and try and would prefer recommendations based on successful use?

Recuva. Have used it multiple times with success.

Dont copy/paste/install big programs as they might overwrite the files you want to restore.

They work well if you mistakenly just deleted something by accident, as long as you didnt do a lot of new writes after you deleted the files. The files are usually still there, but they are just flagged to be overwritten.

Quality is the same.

Not sure how well it would work if a drive is corrupted.

Don't install or copy ANYTHING to that hdd, actually just don't use it at all.

Immediately unplug the HDD. Attach it to a housing and plug it via usb to another pc and run Recuva.

Well never know when something like this is needed. So I will try some of the software myself and test it on a flash drive or something. Will be interesting to see the results.
