Hi all.

I need a free recovery program that will preserve the file structure of files that it recovers.

I deleted half a games files and a program like Recuva finds all the files but when it restores them it restores them all in one folder all over the place so it doesn't work.

Is there an application that will recover these files how they are supposed to be in the directory?

Thanks

Assuming some version of Windows, have you looked in the Recycle Bin?
EDIT: Oh it's pooky, soz pooky, silly suggestion from the me.

Yeah it's Windows.

I have developed a nasty habit of "shift-deleting" things so unfortunately no, it's not in the recycle bin.

There are no free ones that will do that.

You need a paid program called GetDataBack.

I use a program called Recover My Files 3.98 Build 6043. I just tried it out to make sure and it indeed did preserve the file structure. It's paid software, I think, but you can get around that
