What is the link?

I know Corex is in the old Rectron building after it had stood "to let" for a while.

I got a pricelist the other day and it looks remarkably like the Rectron one (cough expensive too cough) with a few other brands thrown on top...

The CEO of Rectron is Mark Lu. The MD of Corex is Fred Lu. The Registered Address for Corex is 1 New Road, Midrand, where, as we know, Rectron has their new premises. I think its safe to say its a family business of sorts.

I receive Esquire's pricelist but I have never been a customer of theirs.
You don't want to. They have some wierd rules. For example, if you leave their premisis with anything. No returns. If you ordered the wrong thing etc. Tough. Even in original packaging and unopened.

Does Esquire own Nobel, I receive email "Specials" from both Esquire & nobel, the image (email specials) is located at the same IP. The domain is also registered to Esquire,

AFAIK, Corex is actually a wholly owned subsidiary of Rectron, created to service more of the enthusiast market. So it would be something like: Rectron deals only with large corporate accounts, and Corex deals with smaller dealers who are more focused on servicing the enthusiast market... Kinda makes sense to me.

That makes sense kinda. More like Corex is there for the enthusiast market, as Rectron does do the smaller dealers. Having said that, my experience with them as a "smaller dealer" has not been without its share of problems where they dont seem to give a rats a$$ about me. Although how much market share does Corex have? Thats not exactly a small shop they now occupy in Midrand.

Corex and Rectron are from the same holdings company. It's on the Rectron website.

True.

IIRC, Corex was a small distributor in Kyalami Business Park not so long ago (and not affiliated to Rectron at the time). If memory serves me correctly they had sole distributor rights for a number of popular products and it was due to this fact that Rectron made the approach to buy them out.

damn, i was thinking of registering with them.but with that kind of service - i dont think so!

it looked as though they have cool products, dont know about pricing though?

Esquire is the only place that ever seems to have modems when you need them most, so that what I get from them, and those black handle cases, I love those!
