Babbelbekkie now has a posse setup for RDR2.

That’s nuts dude

Mine just decides it’s not in the mood and doesn’t launch, gives me gfx errors, etc. worst port ever I think, but so good when it works.
 
What do you do exactly?
I prefer playing alone, but can give it a go with other people, if it's worth while.

Can't say I enjoy people just faffing about

The game is even more fun playing with people... Please do me 1 favour, just 1.
Join Spydaw and Grim and the rest tonight, just give it a go... chat, play and see how it goes.
I honestly believe that you'll love it.
If not, I'll eat my hat tomorrow.

Well I assume if we form a posse we can go raid things, shoot things, try skin each other, rob wagons, compare clothes and perhaps even have a whiskey around the braai

Add -ignorepipelinecache as a launch arguement under settings if getting error_gfx_state
Switching to DX12 also works

Yea I managed to do both. I think I get lower FPS on DX12, but perhaps not, not sure

Absolutely.
Vulkan is much better.

You can switch to DX12, play for a bit then switch back to vulkan
I've found the error occurs if the game loads a certain time of day. Normally Dawn

Online I can't choose to spawn on camp as it always loads at dawn so immediate error_gfx_state crash

Played online for the first time yesterday. Seems I will need a posse otherwise it's likely to get boring. Also need to get some gold bars, those things are rarer than hen's teeth.

I play solo only.
No need for a posse.
I actually prefer playing solo.

Gold can be easy. Just do the daily challenges.
You get 0.2 gold per daily challenge. Some are as easy as visiting a shop in a specific town.
Once you reach 7 days in a row of doing at least 1 daily per day the gold reward is increased to 0.3
14 day streak you get 0.5 per task per day.

Once you reach 0.5 per challenge, 2 challenges per day is 1 gold bar. Considering there are 7 daily tasks every day plus the daily task per role you can make quite a lot of gold very easily.
 
Yea I probably need to be more selective with my tasks. I did a few of the mail runs but they're just annoying really.

My main issue is I need a damned outfit, my hat and coat have me looking like a homeless Iraqi war vet and I don't like it.

You mean the stranger missions? Pointless. Don't even. you get 0.08 gold or less per stranger mission and $10?
No thanks.

Do the story missions. They pay okay for lower level characters, after that get the roles.

I've got all except the moonshiner. Not interested in that. Saving gold for whatever comes in the future (heres hoping you can own a ranch one day)

Collector is my favourite.
you need to spend gold to get the roles, but ultimately it's worth it. Can make a lot of money with the roles.

I'll give this a go, thanks bud. probably spent 3 hours online so I'm basically nowhere yet. I also need to figure out the factions/posses. I killed a guy yesterday and now I have a rival - not sure what the rules are yet.
