Hi peeps

i want to know if it's worth getting red dead redemption or is it better to wait for Gran Turismo 5. i'm scared that GT5 will be bad without a steering wheel.

They're both excellent but GT5 without a steering wheel is a no-no.
RDR is just a little "slow" at times so you need something like GT5 with a steering wheel to liven up the house a little from time to time!

My opinion.. Not interesting, and there's so much better games out there to play

You've obviously never ridden the donkey lady. :D

like what. Games that I have is

Resistance 1+2
Killzone2
Uncharted 2
Infamous
Motorstorm: pacific rift
Metal gear solid
Tiger woods 11

I can also borrow the following games from him:
Need for speed: shift
Fifa 2010 world cup

I think that's about it

GT5 will give you a much longer variety and playtime. I still half-way through Forza 3 but i got it in January this year.

another question is to go with the g27 that will work me out to about R3433.5 or the Driving force GT that will work me out about R1845. That's almost double the price and GT5 included but not the preorder price.

Dude, you gotta get the God of War series then. YOu have similar games to me, and God of War is awesomeness. Batman: Arkum Asylum is good too. Apparently RDR is very similar to the GTA series. Which were also wicked.

now you all confusing me. Now I don't know what game to get. choices is GT5 (most expensive cause need steering wheel), RDR or god of war.

already played batman on the pc

nelis: I guess it all depends what you like the most. If you're a driving fan then GT5 is an absolute must. And if you enjoyed GTA then RDR is a must.

With regards to GT5 and a steering wheel, get the Driving Force GT if your budget is tight but if you can stretch a bit then the G27 is king.
Nothing beats the 6 speed shifter/ clutch and for proper heel and toe down shifts.

After playing PGR3, PGR4, Sega Rally, Forza 2, Forza 3 and NFS Shift all on a standard xbox 360 controller... I don't see the massive need for a steering wheel because the physics used in next-gen consoles cater well for a gamepad. Gone are the days of oversteering cars like the PS2 had.

I'll check my budget and go for red dead redemption and then save up in time to get myself gran turismo 5 with steering wheel

nelis, I wouldn't be at all surprised if there will be special bundles of GT5 that come with a steering wheel. These would be your best buys I think.

That said I really enjoyed playing RDR. Got my 100% completion achievement and everything. :)

+1
get a g27(if you can fork out R3500) or a used g25, they go for about R2k
like what stoner said, nothing beats the H-shifter and the clutch
RDR is just another game, GT5 has been in development for years and is the best driving game ...ever
