Hey guys,

Has anyone passed this beast yet? anything different from the Red Hat 6 ex200 exam?

Regards

I haven't done 6 because my 5 was still valid, but from what I remember there wasn't much new in 6. A few RH specific tools, perhaps. Most of what's different between 5 and 6 is reflected in the RHCA modules.

RHEL7 brings a lot of new goodies that you need to be aware of. I haven't sat the exam yet but I have the course work (it's a lot more volumous than before). Systemd feeds into a lot of areas, networkmanager is now the way of doing networking, there's virtualisation added. So yeah, this is going to be a different animal.

aaah yes, a lot has changed in 7. You can still use commands like "service" , but they are really trying to push the new standard with the likes of systemctl and nmcli.

In the exam apparently you need to recovery a lost root password before you can continue with the exam. There was nothing like that in the RHEL 6 exam, also a bunch of SELinux questions.

Anyway, don't think my RHEL 6 study material will do.

Yes, I've heard this. This is very different from before, I would suggest you make sure you know the official way. It involves some SELinux shenanigans...
