Xiaomi just launched the Redmi Note 11 & Redmi Note 11 Pro in South Africa (no S or 5G versions yet). MyBroadband has posted an overview of the two devices: https://mybroadband.co.za/news/indu...ies-premium-performance-at-a-great-price.html

The Redmi Note 11 is currently available at Vodacom for R199 p/m on a 3-year contract (down from R249 p/m). Which device would you go for out of the two & why? Worth the price point for what you get? Or just not interested?

Definitely want to know what you think about these phones.

I have the pro. No complaints other than battery life isn't great.

I'd recommend you go for the Note 10 Pro. It's a better phone in most respects than both Note 11 models and you should be able to get a good deal on one, now that the Note 11 is out.

I have a Note 10 Pro and I'm very happy with it

how long do you have yours at the moment, as they say (my gat juk) to get one. Looks like really fantastic value for money.

I got it in December last year. Been brilliant with no issues whatsoever. It really is great value for money as a solid midrange phone. As others have said, the spec we get for the Note 11 is a downgrade from the Note 10. If we got the Note 11 Pro+ or 5G version then that would be a different story

I was also thinking about getting the note 10, until I saw the redmi note 11T pro that got released in China recently, the phone got the Dimensity 8100 chipset and the only trade off is really just the AMOLED display, instead it gets a LCD panel that is Display mate A+ certified, so it should be decent. it is selling for USD270-300 in China, so I assume it will be around R6k when it eventually gets here or slightly more. For those spec and price, I would rather wait a few months as its spec will probably be still decent after a few years.

It seems to be available here at about 10k+.

I think you are looking at the redmi 11T pro, and not the redmi NOTE 11T pro, different phones and the note 11T pro should not be available here yet, it is not even out in Hong Kong yet, only mainland China currently has it as far as I know. Xiaomi got some confusing naming sense, but their value on money is top notch on some phones!

Also waiting for it. Hope it will be available on Amazon.
