Reducing social distancing in schools

Do you think the social distancing requirements in schools can be safely reduced?

In an enclosed area, unless everyone is wearing an N95 mask or better, then distancing doesnt make a difference given how I understand the masks only limit volumetric spread from sneezes.
 
Some schoolkids just walked past me while waiting in line for Kentucky, 5 without masks on and 1 with. Then drove past some others, many wearing them as chin straps.

They do a bit more than that. A bit only.

Outside - even without mask use, it's like how our cold-day visible breath dissipates very fast.

Kids are not social distancing at moment and things are just fine. Matt as well stop that nonsense in schools and let the youngsters get educated and have a semblance of normality again.

Reducing the social distancing, is an admission, that they lack funds, to maintain international standards, they don't have the teachers, they don't have the classrooms. Total incompetence, all round.

The thing is I am in some anti-lockdown farcebook groups and they are completely mental. Look, all I am saying is I think lockdown has gone on long enough and let's do the sensible thing, get the jab like we do with flu each year - joh! - It starts a big fallout!

This whole thing to me has been, why can't we find the middle ground?

Get the jab, it makes sense, it works. But lockdown and the other irrational over the top measures? No. I think the only thing more mad than a lockdown is being an anti-vaxxer. Or maybe they are equally retarded.

Although the losses are sad and not small in itself, there's still too few dead for the jab etc. fuss going on, which can only mean there's another reason for the push. That's why many more say no than yes, and we're mostly not anti-vaxxers, just anti this one.

So the real issue seems to be that those in power can be totally corrupted, now a worldwide plague... among many other extreme world concerns these days.

I get that, and the fact that I got the jab and will soon be getting the 2nd one does not mean I am not second guessing all of this.

My train of thought at the moment is (as a software developer that have caused some serious production meltdown/mop up) - this virus, like previous SARS ones, slipped out of an Eastern lab and now the world is in mop up mode. Yet the lengths governments have gone to, our pro-China ANC one included, has me concerned.

I don't see a "Children of Men" outcome here, but I have far more reservations at this stage than firm believes. Yet I will take my liberties where I see fit, the vaccine being one of them.
 
In theory yes, in practise not in the next 10 years if countries financials is cleansed, classrooms are overcrowded to begin with effecting teaching, actually it makes a mockery out of teaching,
 
FFS it's an aerosolised respiratory virus. It makes f-all difference whether you're 1.5m or 15cm apart. If you're in the same room as other people you will be breathing in air they have breathed out, no matter how far away you stand from them or how many masks you wear. The main variable affecting the dissipation of airborne particles is ventilation and airflow not some arbitrary distance that some committee pulled out of their buttholes.

We cannot stop transmission therefore we should stop trying to.

The vaccine does solve this. Just tell everyone out fearmongering to go and get vaccinated and shut up. Easy.

but boys an girls was always socially distanted in school with no amount of kissing and or touching allowed especially at school camps :ROFL::unsure:

I guess this should be upgraded for boy boy or girl girl or boy girl boy girl girl :whistling:
 
Don't think there was any social distancing to start off with so......
