Reflowing a Graphics card using an oven

No real risk in doing this, my old man has a wave soldering machine is his factory and part of the process is heating the boards before they go over the wave.

Motherboards and such use surface mount components, these components don't have legs sticking through the board. They are stuck onto the boards by pick and place* machines and then also heated to high temperatures to melt the solder on them and create the joints.

I have done it before as a last resort to fix laptop gfx card. And it worked. Friends would not believe me when I told them I popped my gfx card in the oven for 7 mins.
