Are PS3 games region locked like Blu-Rays or they region free?

Sure a quick google will work, but I don't see why they won't be pal or ntcs, I'm not common with blue-ray so not sure either....google

Actually, most Blu-ray movies are not region locked.

Games, too, have the capability to be locked, but are not (at present).

Games are region-free. Vast majority of Blu-Ray movies are fine

I am sure I saw a thread the other day of someone buying a PS (2/3 - can't remember) & the person was not able to get games locally after buying the unit in USA.

BR movies that you now buy are region locked. I got a few that I cannot play on the PS3 because I bought mine from China.

China falls under C/3 region if I'm not mistaken. Like I said, allot of Blu-Ray titles are region-free but that is up to the distributor.
