I just ran RegCure (trying to solve dvd problems) and it detected 767 errors.

I that a concern?

Advice, Do not use apps like RegCure , Regclean etc they all sucks and create far more problem than you have started with. NEVER MESS WITH YOUR REGISTERY. If you have startup problems/issues , I strongly suggest you reinstall your OS.

Marketing nonsense. Most of those errors are links to files which no longer exist by applications which no longer run, suffice to say, that fixing those "errors" won't make your PC a nanosecond faster.

Can that be the problem, the registry files?

remember when the shuttle blew up on launch.

it had nothing to do with o-rings but someone farking with the registry.

well its true that errors with these programs just delete the non existant programs,but they do defragment the registry
