Registration Disc Tarra Weight

Is this the actual weight of your car unladen?
Is it simply a case of every make/model weight the same?
Is this the same as manufacturer?

I just mentioned the weight in another thread and as I typed it, I thought 'that sounds too high - maybe I'm wrong' and went to check it out. I was wrong by a few KG - but my tarra weight is 1468KG on a Volvo C30 T5.

I checked a 118i (roughly 1285KG) and a 320d (roughly 1350KG) - and if I remember both the GTI and Focus ST are also 1350ish.

Could they have the weight wrong and I'm paying too much?

You don't pay by weight as fa as I know.
Tare weight is empty weight. Volvos are heavy.

You pay per different weight categories. Something like:

<1000kg
1000kg - 1250kg
1250kg - 1500kg
1500kg - 2000kg
etc.
