Hi all,

Ok, so I am busy redoing my notebook from scratch, and would like to install a Registry monitor (mostly for cleanup af uninstalling a program) and preferrably free.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Better to just back the registry up using windowz'z backup thingy - save system state.

It actually does work by the way, and quite damn well.

So -

Install OS - Patch OS - [14 hours later] - Save settings - Install Safe Apps - Save Settings - Install them wierd and wonderful apps.

hhhm, of the simple apps, there is a proggie called regmon (unfortunatly i am way too lazy to find a link for you ;)) that does what you are looking for. It just monitors all accesses to the registry, works like a charm, is free and it is small as well. Have fun...

@mic_y

It's not what he's looking for. He's looking for something like an installation monitor.

Regmon from sysinternals.com purely provides a log for current registry accesses. It's more interesting to see what programs are accessing what registry keys while it's running. More useful to see what "hidden" registry keys an app may access to check for example, expiry date or summing. :)
