Hi,

Do any of the forum users have a very reliable, honest and thorough workshop that they can recommend, for services, maintenance and other general things that need to be repaired on these cars.

After my car went out of motor plan, I have used only two places that are not AUDI dealerships, and as much as they seem to know what they are doing, I was not entirely happy with my experience. I will not mention their names, but they both left me not very satisfied with their level of competency and thoroughness when taking care of my car.

I only have this car, and I don't intend on changing it any time soon, so I would love to have people who work on my car as if they are working on their own cars, and not work on it just for the bill that I'm paying at the end of the day.

I have insisted on getting thorough service from these two places, however I was not totally satisfied when I would have something else go wrong or find a cover missing or not replaced properly in the engine bay, after my services with either of these places. That to me shows a lack of care from whoever was working on the vehicle, which is not what I am after.

Any recommendations in the Cape Town area, that ARE NOT any dealership? Especially not any dealership...

I am stuck with the same dilema... I have to choose between Auto Care & Diagnostics and Goch and Cooper....

Nope. Hence my post. I know of the two I went to, and as I said am looking to try somewhere else. Thanks for that suggestion. :)

Yeah, I have them in my sights, as someone else mentioned them to me before. I'll give them a call. :)

Well, my post was not to name and shame, as I said. My dissatisfaction with the two places I used was partly the level of workmanship they did (since issues arose after I had my car worked on there, that were not there before), and primarily me noticing that they ALSO didn't take great care in HOW they did the work on my car. My car still runs, but has issues I would like to be resolved by a place that will take care of them, and do an excellent job while doing so. I don't know if it makes sense.

If you want me to name and shame, for the purposes of alerting other car owners, then that I can do via PM.

I would go with KC Auto if you're in the Southern Suburbs. Good experiences there. Very affordable labour rate.

The other place I was going to suggest, which I use now, is more for sportier Audis.

Which is the place you recommend for sportier Audis?
 
Just a bump. Besides kc auto in southern suburbs any other highly recommended audi workshops in Cape town?
 
If it's a reputable place that knows their stuff either works for me.
