Your TV and other paraphernalia might not be dual mode. North America uses NTSC and we use PAL. They are not compatible with each other. PAL-N will also not work here.
DVD players and disks are also mostly regional. USA uses region 1 and we use region 2. It must be region free or region 0 or you may be able to open it to all regions but some players this cannot be done.
Blue Ray also uses regions as above. USA is region A and we are region B.

HD standards do not mean transparency between TV standards, screen refresh rates and audio standards. Connections via the HDMI interface may be less affected but no one can guarantee no issues will be experienced. Certainly if you connect via RCA or RF the standards are still very important..

BS. HDMI is interchangeable, except for refresh rate, and all the HD TV's that I have seen support both.

Nobody uses RF and RCA composite plugs any more.

Why do you think people can just order Fire TV's or Roku's from the USA, and people just plug them in and they work.

As for the Bluray player, you normally just enter a code on the remote and it removes the region restrictions - Google is your friend.

The only real issue is the voltage, and if that is ok then it is fine.

Any TV made in the last 10 years will work fine with PAL, NTSC or whatever you through at it. That is not a concern. So stop with your crap advice because it is very wrong.

In my experience buying something in one country to cart it halfway across the globe to another is not very economical even if someone else foots the bill for the carting.
