hi,
just something to ponder about.
I have Remix o/s, (dual boot) with Win 10, on my laptop , rooted and in general running quite smoothly. Free to download Remix O/s
Why pay R800/R900 for same ?
Good luck

of course. and that's why I wouldn't buy it. but options abound for those with other needs.

Also, the OS specifically developed for that device, whereas there will always be the possibility of driver issues for the PC version, which will probably get secondary updates as well.

That looks rather nice. So it will have chrome app on it, but does Android Chrome support Netflix for example?

hi,
No, actually the 3 x devs behind this Remix O s ( a mix of Windows and Android) are ex Google guys.
Apparently still on good footing with
Google.
After installing Remix you install Google Apps. Then you can install apps directly from Play store.
My Remix is very smooth even though
it's still beta stage. It supports OTA apparently.
I rooted my Remix to have a bit more control over OS.
No Netflix directly, but sure you can sideload itc etc.
Good luck

:wtf: just install the netflix app ;)

Are you using Netflix? I had some problems getting it to render movies at 1080p...it would freeze.

Not that Netflix is a big deal for me. An Android desktop environment is pretty cool in itself...I'm using Remix OS at work at the moment...it's pretty neat. Cost of doing business = 0 :)

So far so good using remix on my laptop.
Has anyone got the Gmail or Outlook email apps to connect to an exchange? Tried these 2 and both don't connect.
Other than that I could use this everyday :)

Ah yes, forgot there is a Netflix app in the play store. But I suppose getting into the US library might be a issue.
No problems. Use it in conjunction with Unotelly or the HolaVPN app and it works like a charm.

I tried using the standard browser and Firefox to access my work email via Outlook Web Access (owa) and on both the connection is refused.

Do you think it could be because the OS is rooted? I think I'll try turning off root in developer options and see if that makes a difference.
