Seems like Android has really come a long way... to upset me with its 1st world problems....

I am planning on getting a Remix Mini for the bedroom TV, install Kodi on it and link it up to my main Kodi media center in the living room.

That was till today when I saw Android N Preview Now I am not so sure, as I could get a Mygica and Install N when its out with proper Android support. I had a Mygica so I know it runs a purpose build Kodi with full Google Play support.

Both devices cost about the same so price doesn't help me.

What do you guys think would be best?

Edit: Added links to Takealot for the devices. For the R400 more on Mygica you get a remote + Extra Mhz on CPU but only 1 gig of ram Eish 1st world problems....

for a bedroom type situation, you wouldn't need a desktop environment? You want an OS that will boot and then start your chosen media-playing app (Kodi in this case)...sounds more like a job for an OpenELEC install than full-on Android.

Not going to be Media Center only and would be always on so booting is not an issue.

Ok after some research I think I am dropping Remix Mini and getting a Mygica instead.

Load of complaints on Audio pass through on HDMI and codec issues on mkv or avi files. People recommend using MXplayers and such so not my cup of tea.

Buying the Mygica instead....

I had it in a dual boot config on a SSD as well. Logged in about twice. Then I nuked it.

Virtual PC. Permanent installation. Tried it once, then deleted it.

It's a nice concept. Have a look at Nox as well.
