What hardware is used to remote control servers..Like Hetzner has for there servers

No idea, I usually buy servers with them builtin. Call HP or Dell, I know Dell do an IP KVM solution

What is your budget? Those things are pretty pricey. The Dlink DKVM-IP1 IP KVM is around R5400 for a single port....

We're getting some KVM switches at work, they're super pricey, as are the ethernet to USB/PS2 adapter things they all seem to need. What exactly are you looking to do that you couldn't using a remote connection?

You can get a spider KVM for about R3K, if the server's don't support their own. On our SuperMicro server the addon KVM card is about R1k and goes inside the cassis, so you don't have extra cables hanging on the outside.

hetzner make use of the raritan eric-g4 pci card for remote.
