Hi Guys

I have a lan of 7 PC's a HUb and my ADSl router.

the usernaname and password is in the router and I am permanantly connected to the net.

How can I access one of the PC's on the lan via remote desktop from my home please

Thanks

You need to create a PAT rule to forward requests on port 3389 but first you'll need to signup with dyndns.org so you can get a static presence.

Open remote desktop connection from communications, which is in accessories. Expand the options button, select the computer that you want to connect to, type in the domain name, username and password.

Use Hamachi

Use Hamachi
www.hamachi.cc
instructions included - it's an EASY to use VPN client - no worries with firewalls, routers etc. Works like P2P and free. Once Hamachi set up, you can use any app you normally use on your LAN as if you were on the same network (using the IP address in Hamachi).

Thanks.

Ok so I get an account with a dynamic dns provider and then
how do I create the PAT rule please

thanks again

DD
