Remote Flash Triggers recommendations

I haven't really had the chance to test them out properly yet so I'm not willing to give them my stamp of approval just yet so YMMV! For one thing I don't know what sort of range they have. They're not ETTL so keep that in mind.

And the cost - r600.

Quick test and the range seems to be about 16-20m.

I'm tempted to pick up a second set so I can have another receiver.

If you have a tripod you can use that, even a gorilla pod.

Found myself needing a little extra light today at a corporate event so I picked up a "Brilliant MT-16" remote flash trigger set from the local shop.

The nice thing about it is that it has a built in umbrella holder (I picked up a r15 white brolly from the crazy store) and it has two hotshoes.

Talk about a light grenade!

I saw those flash triggers at Katz on Saturday while I was there. The umbrella holder is pretty cool as you're not going to need a dedicated light stand and umbrella holder to hold your umbrella. How are you finding this unit?

It's ok - nothing special but better than nothing.

Did you order some triggers then?

Where did you get the umbrellas and how much were they? The white is nice since I can bounce or shoot through but silver would be cool too. Maybe I'll get a couple coloured ones too

I was thinking colours could be fun to mess around with actually - could lead to some interesting results.
