Im looking for remote support software, only need to support users on the lan at our company, but it would need to be able to create logs for audit reasons. Anybody know of something?

If you need to get access to their machines (over the LAN) why not use VNC? I don't know if it stores logs, though...

Yeah, accessing is easy, but we are now forced to implement some sort of remote support solution that has logging, as activity needs to be audited as and when needed because there was instances in the past of sensitive information being compromised.

Dont ask me that logic, as I can access any C$ i want as any other engineer too. That is undedectible anyway by a user using the pc.

for auditing just use a the GPO.

In the GPO enable success and failure for "Audit Object Access", then just go to the file/folder you wish to audit, right click/properties/security tab/Advanced/Audit tab, choose the users you'd like to audit.

Select both full control "success and failure" apply and your done

Instant Housecall

If you need logging, take a look at Instant Housecall Remote Support (www.instanthousecall.com). It auto-logs each session and you can pull reports for as far back as you want.
