HI.

My vehicle has been parked outside for over a year without use. It has some bad dirt stains. I tried a wash and wax and they don't remove most of the stains. Any recommendations how i can remove them ?

Thanks
J

A wash is a good start, a wax won't do much at all, as wax is used for sealing. You need to look at a good wash, then using a clay bar on the paint and then I would start with a hand polish before reevaluating.

Drop it at a valet place, i'm sure they know what to do? Does anyone wash their own car anymore?

Car polish might do it, it's a mild abrasive. I'd try WD40, apparently it cleans too?!

Have you tried thinners or turps?

Very few times in my many years of car ownership that I have had someone else wash my cars. Even wash the missus’ car.

This is a disappointing response from you, I was expecting you to suggest buying a Suzuki Super Carry, as it can take a beating from the African sun and hadeda's.

I was stuck behind one the other day, that pos can't even do the speed limit around town. And that was without any weight, no idea why anyone would want that "vehicle'.

Tell your missus this is the 21st century. She can wash her own car like you make your own sandwich
I would never dare speak to my wife like that. I will go from having a washing machine to hand washing in an instant.
