I've given up on VM, and gone back to VC... anyone have any idea how I can remove the VM menu from my phone?

Cathryn, dont think you can. - Just like i'm stuck with 'vodafone live' on my vodacom phone. Having said that (lol) - you can get rid of it by paying someone for a proggie that can do it, but its not 100% proof. Having said that (lol), not sure about virgin stuff though. You might need to google for info on that.

/ i dont have the probs on my virgin phone that others have - recieve/make calls no probs/ and data no probs.

What menu is that? I don't think Virgin puts any software on phones? . The only menu i can think of is the SIM menu [which is actually on the sim card]. That is 'removed' when you remove the sim ?

Maybe it's the internet profiles, i'm also looking for a way to remove some from my phone. (Downloaded settings)

Sounds like the the Menu that comes from the SIM to me, I know when I changed over there were a few things that chaged, the Virgin setting Menu, calc and stuff like that, so when you change your SIM it should be gone (I think you might have to re-set the phone for it to take affect)

The more I look at Vodacom the less impressed I am, also Mrs Dragon has problems with her MTN phone / Internet every now and again (had to sort it out again yesterday) - Also it likes gobbling up two bucks every now and then. which makes her cross

Let us know how you get along, speed and price wise

Come to think of it, its Mrs Dragon's Birthday next month, maybe I should get her a Virgin SIM and Some Airtime

cant remove it on the sim.Ok there is ways but we will not go into that.
JUst remove da sim and put vc in.
If its on da phone then a reflash of original firmware for the phone is the way to go.Other than that you are stuck

I meant the VM menu where you can check your balance, VRewards, etc. It definitely leaves something on the phone, because I still get the menu with my vc sim in the phone. OTOH, it doesn't actually do anything when I select it, so I guess it just installs the menu item on the phone, and not an actual app.

I'll remove it from the menu, but it's still a bit annoying because it's still in my programs list (I've got a HTC Wizard, so it's a bit different from normal phones). And reflashing the phone is out of the question - it's a WM5 pda and phone, so I've got way too much time and energy invested in customisations to even consider restoring it to the defaults! VM customer care said to put in the VM sim, then choose 'options' and 'delete'... but there is no option or delete items on the menu.

Guess I'll just have to live with it being in the programs menu but at least not the start menu.
