Renault Megane 2.0T

The Clio RS is obviously in a league of it's own. Congrats SharkBait!

Thanx dude. Can't wait anymore, have been looking for a car now for 2 months...

Julle sal nie glo watse k@k daar is, as jy net R40k het nie. Had to up the budget. :wtf:

Soz for OT.

Only getting it on friday. :(

They are pretty and not that slow, but ja... My friend came to visit me the one day and when he wanted to leave, the car wouldn't start. :D They had to pick it up with a flatbed.

If you want, I can ask him and then pm his number to you and you can talk to him...

Thanks but I'll take your word for it :)

I had a Megane 2.0 T , I sold it due to high maintenance costs , every month a new problem. I found bad back-up service from Renault.

i heard this from a megane rs owner too
brilliant cars - but crappy service and very low resale is enough to keep me away

We've just traded in an 06 Megane 1.6 with 120k on the clock for 63000 and sold it for 67000.

They don't fetch anything near book price. Nice cars, but this one at 130 odd sounds expensive.

The "T" bit was nice when it was new, but buyer beware down the road...

Clio RS is an iconic car...honestly...

check out its popularity:

Golf 2008 DSG GTi : see here

2009 Clio III Sport: see here

says it all...!!

You're stating that the Clio is more popular because an add selling a clio has been hit more times than an add for a golf - not mentioning the fact that the one add has been running a month longer? LOL Buddy you still need to learn a lot from life...

I owned a 2002 Clio - I promise you its not bombproof - had loads of problems.

ur missing my point, i was talking about a performance car in general, not a 2006 renault in particular.
Buying a performance car second hand is asking for problems, because you just never know.

Yes sure - I can say the same about Alfa or Jeep (you just never know). But at 15000km any car is still brand new and unless its been used for track you don't have too much to worry about

My pick would be the ST. :D

AFAIK the engines are pretty bullet-proof, but I honestly don't know about servicing costs and the like :p

Agree on bulletproof engines - same as used in the volvos. But do you really want to drive a Ford? :D
