Renewing drivers licence?

Mine expired in Feb 2013, been stopped many times and talked my way out of it, until Monday when travelling to Bloem I got stopped and issued a R500 fine... Guess I'll go and renew it now :)

Still have to renew mine. Let us know if they charge you a penalty.

Depends where in Bryanston. Could be the Randburg or Sandton testing station. The Randburg one is close to the corner of Malibongwe and Hill. The Sandton one is near the corner of South and Marlboro.

That's the driver testing area. If you are just renewing your license, save yourself a lot of pain and don't go there. The actual license renewal place is the licensing dept. at the top of Braam Fischer near where it joins Jan Smuts.

I need to renew, do one need to pay in hard cash or are there alternative options like paying with a card? I'm asking this to plan my day.

Did mine recently in Duban. They wouldn't accept a card -> cash only.
