my girlfriend is receiving repeat copies of an SMS I sent to her originally a month ago, I think she has received it more than 10 times now. This repeating SMS was more than 160 characters in length, i.e. sent as 2 messages from my phone and it appears that this problem occurs whenever I sent her SMS's longer than 160 characters in length.

Anyone has an idea what's going on? I use Vodacom and an i-mate KJAM phone.

vodacom3g - maybe you can investigate this if I give you my phone nr.?

Thanks

Probably best to log it with the call desk. They know how to handle these kind of calls.

Your girlfriend has a Nokia Mate.Thats the problem mate

I also had many repeat messages with the i-Mate, took the phone into LEAF, they re-installed the complete OS (already had latest firmware updates) and it still repeats the odd SMS message - obviously a bug in the Window 2003 OS.

I checked with Vodacom, and the repeat messages were definately from the handset, and not the network sending out a delayed message or repeating the SMS.
