I must repalce my Nokia 6310i with another Nokia (insurance claim) and also with a car kit for the new model. Question: Which Nokia match the 6310i that also have a car kit, either direct link or blue tooth with seperate display screen?

6310i is the best phone I have used thus far.
The 6230 I have been using for the last 2+ years does not come close.
There are very little phones out these days that can compare to the 6310i, signal, reception, signal battery life is what the phone is well known for.
I am going for the N80. Has a lot of features.
As far as I can tell the only thing the N80 will lack is battery life, plusses is that it has a helluva lot more features than the 6310i.
Nokia spoilt us with the excellent battery life on the 6310i. :(

I would get another 6310i if i could get my hands on one. But it was too good, so they stopped making it. Some idiot decided it would be a good idea to have a webcam quality camera in a phone.

I hate my Nokia 9300, it's too slow, battery life sucks, and the software is rubbish. I want my 6210 back!!!

/Rant off

My advice, there are no good new Nokia's. There are very few good new phones. Motorola's are made from chocolate tray plastic, Samsungs break in half, Sony Erricsson decided we should all listen to music.

What happened to the good old days, when they perfected the shape and design of the cellphone. Bring back the nokia 3310, 6210, 6310i.

I guess the best phone I have seen recently is the Imate K-jam and SP5.

if I had to go Nokia, I would go 6131 or 6136

A worthy replacement for the 6310i will be the Nokia 6234/6233 .
Definitely the 6233. I had the 6230i for 20 months and though its an all right phone, I still missed my 6310i every day…especially the awesome battery life.

The 6233 I have now feels solid like the 6310i and also has (finally) decent battery life. It has Bluetooth, IR and all the features you could possibly want if you are upgrading from a 6310.

They've lost sight of the fact that it is supposed to be a phone. And is somewhat useless if you have to carry around a 100km extension cord in case the battery dies after 5 minutes.

My 6230 has turned me off all other follow-up models. Not for me thanks :(

They probably should have made the phone a bit bigger so they could squeeze in a bigger battery.
Yes, I agree, the battery is tiny compared to the phone. I am still going to go for one and switch off all the non-essential stuff, like 3G when not using it.
There is no way it can be as bad as my 6230 at the moment.

A new version of Nokia 3310 is coming soon! a normal basic phone will be available again, waiting for it in anticiaption

I loved the 6310i (and even the 6310 apart from the green LED's) but to get hold of now is like getting hold of rocking horse droppings!

Forget the 6233 and go for the 6234, its the same phone inside but the 6234 scores better points on the style counter by far! It feels solid (al-la 6310i) but sadly the battery life (like all colour screen phones) is not up to that of the 6310i.

If you get the 6234 get a Crystal Case for it as well and it'll look good forever!
