Replacement for the 20D

I get 90% of my gear from Adorama.com these days.
 
Keep in mind Canon (and Nikon) will not repair the camera under guarantee if you do not buy it locally.
 
See this is why I'm always glad I post here :) So many useful things.
Aaah, I will just have to calmly and rationally see what I need to get and avoid the gimmegimmegimme feeling :D

If I can find a place that honours warranty I will be happier than a politician with his hands in the till.

@bwana: What do you do about warranty/guarantee repairs? Or has it just never come about?

I see no issue with warranties if the device was shipped to a US address and is indicated as such on the invoice but it would have to go back to the US for warranty claims.
There is also the option on some kit of a extended international warranty, this was discussed in a thread here somewhere with Henry from B&H if I'm not mistaken.
Thirdly, you could always claim you are on holiday when you send it back.
 
Thanks so much for all the feedback folks - I ended up getting the 20D because I held her in my hands and... well the rest was history.

Plus, for the price it made no sense to go another way. Ended up getting 20D + sigma 70-300 + 50mm macro + lifesize converter + grip + tripod + shutter release + 8gb compactflash for just over R9k..
