Just got a quote for R12k for replacement of an Oxygen sensor in my Audi S3. Includes the part and labour. This feels a little excessive. Anyone have any experience in replacing this part in an Audi and the extent of the labour required?

try Goldwagen, see what they quote , standard VW part I imagine
o2 sensors can be tricky, especially if they have to dismantle parts of the manifold to get to it,
but its all part of owning a premium car,
@DiabloDane, what can you quote for the part at least,Yeah, it's paid off and out of warranty. I like having not to pay for a vehicle, so took the risk that these out of pocked expenses are going to come up. Happy to pay for it if it is a fair quote. I know very little about these things, so just getting some input from others.
howsit man,@DiabloDane, what can you quote for the part at least,
and estimate of the effort to remove/replace it, and if necessary reprogramming so it sees a New O2 sensor.

with engine code
cjxc/dnue/djha or cjxb (you will find it on your license disk)

isnt it also supposed to be programmed to recognize the new part?it fits a ton of VW/Audi's it cant be that expensive at Diesel electric
there were times when all you needed to do is disconnect your battery for 10 minutes LOL, now... who even knows the process, i suppose it would need a diagnostics clear after fittingisnt it also supposed to be programmed to recognize the new part?
or should it start working straight away with no issues.
Why is it so expensive, what does it doif they give you kak,
Bosch suggests that OE 06K 906 262 CQ = OE 06K 906 262C which will then = Bosch 025 802 71 97 (it replaces old bosch codes 0 258 027 050 and 0 258 027 080)
So find yourself your nearest diesel electric and ask if 0258027197 or 0258027050 or 0258027080 is available
located before the cat? if they showed you ?
