Hi,

I returned my billion 400g modem at telkom, but I lost the LAN Cable for it. The lady at Telkom said I can return it on Monday. I got a new Netgear modem from them (it really is nice).

How long is the billion 400g LAN Cable modem? I want to buy a replacement for it. Would the lan cable that came with the netgear be a good replacement?

Thanks

They are normally around 1 - 1.5m long.

Should not be an problem just replacing it with the netgear LAN cable, dont think anybody will notice. D

Just 4 simple questions:
1) Why swap a good Billion for a miserable Netgear? Particularly the batch of DG384 Telkom snapped up super cheap from Netgear seem to be on the lower end of the quality spectrum.
2) Why use Telkom routers anyway?
3) LAN cables are usuallly bright coloured and in 99.99% to be found in between the router and your PC. How did you lose it?
4) Do you really think the guys at Telkom shop will still remember your missing cable on Monday?

We under contract at telkom, they give us modem + dsl line + 1gb account. The netgear i got has a wifi of up to 300mbps, at the moment im getting 140mbps on my wifi to the modem, i used the cable for lan party's, i must have lost it somewhere.
