Report predicts 15m mobile Internet users

So out of 44m South Africans, 35m have cellphones?
Almost 80% then...(I some how expected the figure to be more.. ;))

Dial up users can gain a lot from going mobile. I recently advised a relative that was still using dialup to go with Vodacom 3G. They used about 300MB a month so they went with the 500MB option that gives you a free 7.2Mbps modem. Pretty sweet :p and much better than dialup.

Only thing is they had to go back to the vodashop cause they did not activate the sim card - bad bad -but all sorted now.

New operating systems such as iPhone OS and the Android platform have opened up many possibilities, especially when viewed in combination with their application stores which offer the user the ability to buy and install applications directly from his handset.
Bah! Symbian's been at it for years.
