Facebook Apps transmitted personal info

The latest Facebook privacy fiasco shows that the world's largest online social hub is having a hard time putting this thorny issue behind it even as it continues to attract users and become indispensible to many of them.

Bring on more tracker blocking extensions. Internet marketing needs to get smarter.

Meh, I don't use any FB apps... I have all of them blocked.

But there is more chance of your personal info being sold by some unscrupulous people here in SA.... or your e-mail address being harvested by some spammer than this.

At least with FB you will be getting targeted advertising relevant to you. with spam and junk mail you get no such treatment.

So you reckon I shouldn't head off home tonight to close/cancel my account?
