Republican primaries.

I see that Rick Perry dropped out of the race, why did he endorse Gingrich?

Pressure from his supporters most probably.
He still sent out fund raising letters to individuals the night before, so I am sure he was "advised to pull out".

So this leaves all of his supporters and voters available for Gingrich, Santorum, Ron Paul and Romney.
Majority will probably go for Gingrich.

CNN screwed themselves over with the opening question for Gingrich in regards to his ex wife's interview.
He has seized the opportunity and came out on top. He had the higher ground and CNN was left floundering, back-pedalling and just gave him more ammunition.

He still scares me. He will do what he says he will do without any regard for the consequences.

Romney might get a few but his Cayman Islands account has come back to haunt him now...tsk tsk.

I realised watching an episode of The Daily Show that Mitt Romney is heavily invested in South Africa through Bain Bapital. Which he co-founded apparently with the notorious ex-SAA CEO Coleman Andrews.

So if you shop at an Edcon store, you have contributed indirectly to his campaign, LOL

AHA! Thanks for the warning! You can guess who will no longer be shopping at any Edcon stores!! :p

Also, both the Republican Party and the ANC party get most of their support from the uneducated rural vote (which they easily manipulate with fear). Both Republicans and the ANC politicians will chase money for themselves at the expense of the man on the street. Both are incredibly dishonest. More so than their political counterparts.

I think you keep mentioning this to try and re-enforce the idea in your own mind of your support for the Dems.
Obama has dozens of Wallstreet and big business connections, many whom he appointed to political office
"Obama's transitional council of economic advisers is also notable. The dominant figures here are all Wall Street derivatives merchants and their quackademic apologists and politician clients. The key people here are plutocrat Warren Buffet, Obama moneybags and Hyatt heiress Penny Pritzker, Goldman Sachs-Citibank alum Robert Rubin, woman-hating thug and failed Harvard president Larry Summers, Google spook Eric Schmidt, and Roger Ferguson, the former vice president of the Federal Reserve board. The most obscene is Trilateral Commission bigwig Paul Adolf Volcker, the bringer of the 22% prime rate of 1981 and the destroyer of the US industrial base."

and see here:

Keep delluding yourself.

...and we wont mention the high tax/lots of welfare similarities between Dem and ANC policy, but then why let facts get in the way of a good story.

Of course. I've tried on numerous occasions to point this out and atleast get them to acknowledge this fact, but as you said, it doesn't fit their world view so they don't mention it and refuse to acknowledge it.

Still trying to get Fazda to admit that fact. "Gee WilDCaT, I totally agree, the only fault I could find was spelling, but other than that you are correct!"

But nope, rather neither agree with nor refute argument, but take the time to point out spelling mistakes.

Even Wikipedia pulls a Godwin on you... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flaming_(Internet)

"Orthography and grammar

Incorrect spelling and grammatical mistakes are also very frequently the subject of flames, particularly if a flame war has already started. In such a situation, the flamers may try to impugn their opponents' intelligence by highlighting any errors in their adversaries' grammar or spelling. This has given rise to the term spelling flame[17] for a flame that excoriates an earlier poster over their spelling errors. Posters who censure the grammar of others are often called Grammar Nazis -- this may cause great offence due to the association with Nazism, but this label is also used ironically and is occasionally proudly self-applied."

ah yes, the argument of 'all you say is wrong - because I say so, therefore I am right'

Yes they do, they bought Edcon back in 2007. Such old news that some of the links have expired, LOL

Johannesburg (Business Report)

The US's Bain Capital yesterday completed the biggest private equity deal in South Africa when shareholders of Edgars Consolidated Stores (Edcon) narrowly voted for the R25 billion buyout.

That cannot be for real, surely? :wtf:

I dislike what the Republicans stand for any way, but this just makes it a million times worse!!

http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/belief/2012/jan/25/rick-santorum-rape-pregnancy

Rick Santorum would encourage one of his daughters to see a pregnancy created through rape as "a gift of human life" and urge her to not consider an abortion, the socially ultra-conservative Republican presidential candidate has explained.

He added: "I believe and I think that the right approach is to accept this horribly created, in the sense of rape, but nevertheless, in a very broken way, a gift of human life, and accept what God is giving to you. As you know, in lots of different aspects of our life we have horrible things happening. I can't think of anything more horrible, but nevertheless we have to make the best out of a bad situation. And that is making the best of a bad situation."

I wonder if he would change his mind if it was his wife that was raped and pregnant.
