No disrespect intended towards those who PM'ed me (and to which I've not replied) for info which I cannot provide, maybe those who PM'ed me should try what The_Librarian suggested using a batch file to get the desired results.

As for the popups - here is a fix.

Note that it does disable the balloon, but the taskbar will still pop up, which now is an even greater irritation.

D@@@@@@@ those popups!!! They're a MAJOR pain in the @$$!

If somebody else have a better suggestion - do let us know!

If you have it set for AutoHide then it will still pop up.

(thats the bar at the bottom of your desktop)
