If everything works out, I'll be resigning before the end of the week.

Hopefully I don't have to work a full month notice!
 
Wow JK8, this must be the first time I've come across such positivity with regards to resigning.

It seems like you're in a really cool frame of mind and your attitude towards the whole concept of it all is really on the up.

Have to concur with the others here, that it seems like you're making a great move.

Obviously you feel that you're in a position that's not really living up to your potential.

That's awesome.

Enjoy some time off and good luck with finding something that keeps you motivated.

Oh really ? Was a senior programmer, eventually there was lack of stimulating work, If I stayed I was gonna do some MS access programming for a couple of months, instead of .Net. I got bored quick as my work outside work is more exciting.

Note to anyone who wants to resign, if you living pay check to pay check, dont do it without having something lined up already.

Voda didn't look after you it seems. They need to ensure you are challenged. If they were training you then it doesn't sound too bad. The rule of thumb is not to leave a job until you have a new one (unless you stormed out or something).

I was talking about JK8, not you :D I asked him a while back what he did for a living but he wouldn't say. Thanks though :D

Whys that ? Those are the rules everyone else plays by, you can make your own game with your own rules aswell. I prefer happiness over money.

This article(http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/2006/07/10-reasons-you-should-never-get-a-job/) caught me by surprise a year back, now I understand what the writer was getting at.

Not much in the end...
Worked with some old aunties, got 15k a month lots of phones, lots of manufacturers parties... lots of other stuff...

Once all the smoke clears out the little perks just seem meaningless. Then routine kicks in, then you you might as well leave and find something else.

Could have moved to another sector in the business, but it would still be similar and based on what I was doing anyway. I want something totally different...

Pharmaceutical and Petrochemical sounds exciting now!:)

Everyone says you need another job before you leave... why is that?
Nobody is relying on my salary only me. Ill be fine for another 12 months... I hope!:o

Sweet, you just like me, I believe most of my co-workers can't do it as they tied down to debt like cars etc.

Ye they did, but I wanted to be in charge of some people, that might come in handy later in my career...

Ye its an eye opener, sometimes you just get sucked in and forget that theres more out there...

Jk8 have you told alot of ppl, I'm finding it funny everyone always ends up saying "So what you gonna do ?" as if your life is at jeopardy.

I dont want to tell people for that exact reason!!
Maybe I should make up something, but still need to keep in touch with some big industry players... so it has to be something good!
