My Life Insurance requires me to do a Resting and effort ECG.

What does this rest entail? I googled and what I came up with is that it is basically walking on a treadmill with various intensities while your blood pressure is being monitored.

Do I go to a Cardiologists for this?

Can anyone recommend a Cardiologist in the Cape Gate or Durbanville area.

Your GP can do this test....

But ja... your insurance are trying to minimise risk. I guess a lot of people in this country are lately having coronaries, so they figure its a high risk game now.

Most GP's do not have treadmills for the effort EKG. Some however use a 3 steps block that you have to step up and down on until your heart rate reaches 160. They will then take your EKG.
Most insurers will give you a paid for doc appointment to have it done. Forget about a cardiologist unless you have a heart problem. They are very expensive.
