hi guys my moms computers hard drive just crashed and she has a telkom email account, is it possible to access her emails that she has downloaded from the telkom pop3 server?

You can try and use a Linux LiveCD like Ubuntu to access files on the HD but it all depends on your definition of a crash.

Recover to a different HD (external etc) and never the same one. What email application did she use because you will need to determine where the emails were saved.

The POP3 server only stores mail for X amount of days as setup in your email application so you will not be able to get all her email from the server, only the last few days or so.

Do yourself a favour and move her over to Gmail while you are at it.

Edit: If ubuntu cannot read the drive then you will have to try data recovery software like Ontrack EasyRecovery Professional etc.

In that case you are fooked, will have to go to a data recovery company.

Can you give me the exact Brand, Model & Frimware version of the drive, should be on the label.
