Returning a Screen Protector to a store

Has anyone ever done that or will I be the first person?

I went to a Samsung Store in one of the Malls to look at the Gear S3. While chatting to a sales person, he asked me
if I have a Screen Protector on my S8. I said no and he asked me for my phone and walked to the back of the store.

He took a screen protector from the shelve, started cleaning my screen and fitted a BodyGlove "Glass" screen protector. After he was finished I asked him if it was free because I didn't told him to fit one. So he said he can
take it off. So I said, no its fine. I would've got one eventually.

He told me that it can take about 5 days for the screen protector to sit properly. I've noticed that the screen protector sits perfectly on the sides of the phone but there is a very small gap between the actual screen and screen protector at the top of the screen.

Dust will eventually gather there and that will annoy the s&*t out of me.

Will it be wrong from me to go to the store and asked for a replacement or my money back?

I mean, if I took it from the shelve and bought it and fitted it myself then it would've been my problem, but in this case the "Glass" screen protector was fitted by a professional.

(The reason why I type "Glass" like this, is because he also told me that it was a Glass Screen Protector, but this thing can bend?!?!?!?)

Take it off and throw it away. Next time don't give your phone to strangers, and never let clever sales tactics get the better of you.

R400?? Nope, I'll be asking my money back tomorrow or Friday.

Uhm... Why the heck do you give your phone to a stranger and let him do with it as he pleases? This is just wrong....

And I deserve that.

But I was just shocked to see think that a salesman at Samsung could do something like that. I was lost for words.

If the Body Glove screen protector is the same as the one that Takealot sells for the S8, it appears that most customers are very unhappy with this product. Most of the reviewers give this product the lowest rating possible - one star. Maybe you can print out the reviews or save them on your phone to confirm that other customers are also unhappy with this purchase. The screen protector may shatter while being removed.

It does appear to be very easy to crack the screen on the S8 so I would personally apply a screen protector as a precaution.

R400 for a screen protector? The same thing goes on eBay/Aliexpress for R50 or less.

Prices vary a lot for the tempered glass screen protectors. I've seen some go for R600 mostly on the edge screen devices.

Excuse me for calling you a piesang for handing your phone to a stranger

Delivery fees, customs charges, delivery time, blah blah.

Shipping: FREE Small Packets - International - Air

Customs will be zero.

Anyway, I'm done. Get labelled as a troll for pointing the OP in the right direction.

Enjoy the premium screen protector on your premium S8+.
