The short version is I got a battery for my phone On Thursday, but once installed my phone restarts randomly numerous times a day (checking my old battery the new one is a fake that is physically smaller so I'm guessing it loses contact every now and then). Monday I contact the store asking about their returns and refund procedure only to get a call about getting a different battery of smaller capacity but she needed to check with the manager... by 10am this morning that would be 48 hours ago, is now the time to dispute the charge and try reverse the credit card charges myself or is it too late for that now? Don't feel like the hassle of dealing with stores like this that'll probably keep stalling

I believe I once heard that you have 6 months to reverse the charges.

Perhaps someone can backup or bust that statement?

It seems to range between 30 to 120 to 180 days, depending on the bank here.

The banks are very reluctant to reverse a charge that is not outright fraud. They will have you take the matter up with the merchant directly.

It's not like America where people reverse cards like they reverse cars.
